General Manager, Reinsurance Department has over three decades of dedicated service at GIC Re. Sanjay Mokashi embodies a career of strategic growth and global excellence. His journey began in 1990, and he has since cultivated a remarkable and diverse expertise. He initially worked in HR before transitioning to aviation. He was involved in establishing GIC Re’s UK Branch in 2006, where he was subsequently posted as an Underwriter. During his 6 years' stint in London, he expertly managed a significant international portfolio, overseeing facultative business (Property, Oil & Energy, Aviation) from Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Upon his return to India, he helmed GIC Re's prestigious worldwide aviation and space portfolios, followed by a highly impactful tenure of 4 years as the Chief Executive Officer of GIC Perestrakhovanie LLC.

Now, as General Manager at the Mumbai Head Office, he brings this wealth of international experience and visionary leadership to steer the corporation's core reinsurance operations, driving GIC Re towards a future of continued success and global prominence.
