Sanjay Radhakrishnan is the Chief Executive Officer of EDME Insurance Brokers Ltd. (formerly Aditya Birla Insurance Brokers Limited). He brings in over 25 years of diverse experience in the financial services and insurance industries. He is a core driver of EDME’s strategic vision, leading the organization’s transformation into a future-ready, customer- centric insurance broker.

In his current role, Sanjay oversees all aspects of the business, with a focus on innovation, digital acceleration, and market expansion. His deep knowledge of both personal and commercial lines of insurance has enabled him to build integrated solutions that align with evolving customer needs across India.

Before joining EDME, Sanjay served as CEO of one of India’s largest personal lines insurance brokers, managing operations across more than 2,700 locations nationwide. He was also the founding CEO of JLT India, where he scaled revenues to USD 15 million in four years while maintaining a 20% trading margin. At AXA India, he led the wholesale insurance business, generating close to USD 100 million in revenue over five years with a strong focus on profitability and underwriting discipline.

Sanjay has also held senior leadership roles at Hero Insurance Broking, Bharti AXA General Insurance, and JLT India, building cross-functional teams and delivering strong operational outcomes. His expertise lies in driving business growth, managing P&L, and designing scalable insurance distribution strategies.

He holds an MBA from SIMS (Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies). Sanjay’s leadership style is rooted in performance, innovation, and collaboration. He is passionate about building high-performing teams and creating an impact in India’s evolving insurance ecosystem.
