Dr Abhijit Chattoraj is a distinguished academic, author, speaker and researcher in Insurance and risk management. A chartered insurer, he is an established academic and a professional with international acclaim. Currently, he serves as the Vice-President of the Risk Management Association of India and has been a Goodwill Ambassador of the Chartered Insurance Institute in India since 2019. He is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of The Insurance Times and Banking&Finance. He was a member of the Board of Governors of the Asia Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA). He is a member of FAIR.

He served IMS Unison University, Dehradun, as Professor and Director of the Executive Program and Consulting. He was a Professor and Chairperson of the Insurance Business Management Program, as well as the Dean of SWSS at BIMTECH. He was a researcher and Chairperson of PGDM and Students' Welfare at the National Insurance Academy (NIA) in Pune, and also headed Amity Business School at Amity University, Mumbai. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from The Chartered Insurance Institute (U.K.); a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management, Senior Associate CIP Member, Australian & New Zealand Insurance &Finance (ANIZ); Fellow in Insurance from Insurance Institute of India; PGDHRM and MBA in Marketing.
